Who are we?
Mission
The BDRC seeks to tackle major societal issues by engaging and bringing together leading actors in computer science, statistics, bio-informatics, geomatics, actuarial science, law, animal sciences, social sciences, pharmacy, medicine and administration, of the Campus and affiliated hospitals.
Vision
The BDRC aims to : - Further develop the potential of big data ; - Invest in new scientific fields in particular through collaborations with national and international big data actors; - The BDRC wishes to continue training talents and experts in data science.
Elevator pitch
In collaboration with the private and public sectors, BDRC researchers contribute to the realization of several major projects according many sectors such as aeronautics (DEEL; $7.5 M and $40 M international), health (FONCER in SDRDS; $1.65 M), nutrition (NUTRISS; $2.5 M), pharmacy (IA in polypharmacy; $1.2 M), insurance (DRC/ Industrial Chair with Intact Corporation Financière $4M, RDC La Capitale project; $1.3M) and more.
